Welcome to Music Arts Monthly Magazine
This is an online version that began back in real print in Houston Texas in 1985 by the late Douglas Groover: Editor, Publisher, Musician, Recording Engineer and a true descent person that I for one was very glad to have known. Go ask Cyndi Lauper about Doug as she considered him a true friend as well.

Bobby McFerin

Coming to

February 22nd

Listening to Bobby McFerrin sing may be hazardous to your preconceptions. Side effects may include unparalleled joy, a new perspective on creativity, rejection of the predictable, and a sudden, irreversible urge to lead a more spontaneous existence.
"America’s musical shaman-in-chief, the man whose healing mission seems to be to reacquaint the human race with the spirit of childlike sonic play that rests underneath all music. McFerrin, alone in performance, is an extraordinary pied piper, turning an audience of thousands into a musical body . . . one of the most gifted entertainers of our time." – Buffalo News
"An utterly natural musician with an irrepressible sense of play . .. a virtuosic and absolutely riveting performance that brought the house down." – The Washington Post
"a joyous, contagious celebration of the power of the human voice, turning the enthusiastic crowd into full partners in his journey into the seeming unknown." – The Boston Herald
"The voice gets to the soul of a person more than any other instrument. Because it’s the voice. It sings talks, it cries, it laughs, it squeals, it barks, it shouts it whispers, There is no other instrument that can do that. We’re born with it." – Bobby McFerrin
