JES
![]() While her breakthrough #1 hit with Motorcycle "As the Rush Comes" still ignites dancefloors worldwide 6 years after its release, it's clear that JES has established herself not only as one of the most sought after vocalist, but also a prolific solo artist and tireless performer playing her heart out to club and stadium crowds worldwide from Dubai to Shanghai. "Disconnect," her 2007 first solo release, generated 3 hit singles: "Ghost," "Heaven," and the #1 Billboard Hit "Imagination",followed later that year by the Chill Out collection of downtempo mixes "Into the Dawn". In 2009, JES launched her own label PlanetJes Digital with the release of "My Love," a collaboration with Airscape reached the Top 10 of AOL Radio 2009 Dance Charts and #1 on Clear Channel's "I Heart Radio" NEW Discover and Uncover Hit and Adult Genre. With the release of the new single "Closer", its companion video and a full remix package, 2010 is on track to become JES biggest year yet. ![]() Teeming with lyrical profundity, melodic emotion and reverential vocals, Angela Evans' debut album, "Still Hope", serves notice that the Canadian music scene is about to become much brighter. If one could imagine an uncompromising union between Josh Grobin, Sarah McLaughlin and Celine Dion... it would only begin to set the stage for this unique Canadian talent. The album is a story unto itself, created in the throw-back model of record-making where every track weaves itself into the bigger picture. Crafting every element of the album - songwriting, instrumentation and production - Evans has successfully delivered on the biggest undertaking of her life to date. Perhaps it is that ardent belief in others that makes Evans such a rare voice in today's music landscape. Perhaps it is a mindset we should all take another look at adopting. May we all be, Angela, one of those million who still believe... Spaceship Days >"Spaceship Days brings forth a lasting bond with their album The Halo Effect. Soft alternative has never sounded this clean while brimming with emotion, optimism and hope. Precise engineering, skilled musicianship and unbridled talent leave listeners with a feeling of having just heard something distinctly different and special."-Rhonda Readence The members of Spaceship Days have been together for a lifetime. Childhood friends and former collegiate swimmers Greg Torsone, Chuck Cox and Matt Mocharnuk, began their musical adventure in college playing in the Shoegaze band grey. The three remained close while working on their respective projects, but it didn't take them long to realize they made better music while together than apart. As it happened, their second beginning was nearly identical to the first. It was the summer of 2009. This time, the setting was a living room instead of a North Carolina State University dorm; the instruments were still acoustic, and the adult beverages were flowing a little less freely. What began as a Boys' Movie Night ended in a wild, frenzy of songwriting. Try as they might to talk themselves out of it, Matt, Greg, and Chuck were a band again. "Shadow Walking",the first single from the new album, was nominated for a 2010 Hollywood Music in Media Award for Best Alternative Song. Gus Bryce ![]() Gabriel

Tom Zona ![]() Like most people who wind up songwriting, I've been at it most of my life. At the age of three, I remember sitting on the stoop outside my house, not just playing with my toy accordion, but trying to create patterns. By the beginning of eighties the analog synthesizer was coming into its own. I bought a couple and found myself spending time exploring sounds and writing pop/new age. I suppose you could say it was the precursor to the modern one man band. The ability to make so much sound alone was addicting. The guitar had been taking a back seat to the keyboard, but by the end of the eighties it was rising from the ashes. It was then that I started to write music full-time. I bought a 4-track reel to reel, had sound modules, a hardware sequencer, and a drum machine and spent the nineties writing 200 or so songs. But this decade has been my favorite since my high school days, using a computer for everything, from recording, to sounds, to mixing, to mastering; music creation has never been more satisfyingly self-contained. There's been a return to real musicians playing music live. Even though I've spent a considerable time learning to sequence, I've always mixed live playing and singing into most of what I've been doing. The songs here reflect that philosophy. Alyse Black
![]() Alyse's first album, Too Much & Too Lovely, won 1st place in Billboard's 16th Annual World Song Contest (Jazz) and the International Independent Singer-Songwriter Awards (Jazz) among others. Her sophomore album, Hold Onto This, was recorded and produced by Ryan Hadlock (The Strokes, Ra Ra Riot, Foo Fighters) and released in late 2009. The Honesty EP is Alyse' most acoustic, barebones, naked work to date. Made with just the help of an engineer friend (Zach Alkire) in his bedroom studio and her long-time drummer (Cody Rahn), Alyse wrote and recorded almost everything in a vacuum, following her own dark muse down rabbit holes and into lions’ dens. Black's vocal-based soulful pop is frequently compared to the ridiculously playful Regina Spektor; the spacious, anything-goes Bjôrk; and the soft and throbbing Norah Jones. Aisha Ludmilla
![]() As a vocalist, Aisha likes to create harmonies (2 - 6 Part Harmony) and has incorporated them in her music. She writes, sings and produces all her music, single-handedly. PAINT IT PURPLE IS THE SIGNATURE SONG OF HER FORTHCOMING ALBUM. Kerry Wilkins ![]() A smile graces Kerry's face as he reminisces about his childhood in Houston, Texas where he was born and raised. He vividly recalls the sizzling summers of backyard barbeques and get-togethers with the sounds of Hendrix, Funkadelic and Santana. As a boy, he would imagine that it was he who was on those records performing those awesome guitar licks as the euphoria swelled within him. Kerry set out to make this dream a reality by enrolling in guitar lessons at the age of 12. Kerry's giftedness would enable him to join his first band at the age of 16. The following year his high school stage band recruited him where he expanded his knowledge of chart reading and jazz chording. Displaying his abounding versatility on lead and rhythm guitar, he would go on to showcase his talent in various local funk, r&b, pop/rock, and tejano bands. Kerry began to feel a strong inner pull and taste for contemporary jazz peppered with a bit of funk. On his quest to find that special blend, he would spend evenings checking out Houston's jazz venues. He was so captivated by the jazz vibe that he began writing and performing original funk laced jazz compositions. All the Seals lying at the Cove read
